Sebastian & Christine launched Cocotraie Tropical Living & Design in 2011, at the time their focus was then solely on being a luxury focused tropical living, interior design, property and travel Magazine. They took a broad and diverse in-depth look inside some of the world’s most beautifully crafted and designed contemporary modern and classic tropical homes, hotels, resorts, villas as well as interviewing the architects who built and designed them.
” In the beginning we were both still working full time jobs, me in finance and Chris in fashion, working on Cocotraie at weekends. To our surprise feedback was instantly positive with the publication rapidly gaining international recognition”.
As the magazine’s reputation for its unique content, style, photography and fresh editorial perspective grew, through feedback, readers began to also regard the magazine as a “Source Book” that kept them updated with the latest news and reviews on the current designers, developments, resorts, residences, villas for rent as well as market trends within the hospitality industry.
Today, in response to the growing interest in their articles, reviews, recommendations and requests for information, Cocotraie has grown beyond just a magazine and into a Tropical Living Design Consultancy. Harmonising both form and function Cocotraie now provides a bespoke advisory service that recommends and connects clients looking to build, buy or invest with property developers, architects and designers who specialise in building some of the world’s most stunning luxury homes in the tropics.
An additional growing component of Cocotraie is our Brand Marketing & Communications services. Delivering strategic promotional and press media material as well as the production of editorial content for clients.
